Kumar Amritesh, a 2016 batch CLS officer, is presently posted in New Delhi as Asst. Labour Commissioner (Central). Hailing from Nalanda in Bihar, he has served in different parts of country, including Andaman, in his career in different Govt. Departments.
As an author, he won 2nd Best Hindi Short Story Award in the prestigious Kindle Pen To Publish 2019 for his very first book titled “Dadu Bhi Mall Jayenge?”. He has also adapted this story in English and also into a screen play.
His first novel “Cycle Ki Chain”, published in 2020 by HindYugm Publication, astutely portrays the opportunities and the challenges in the life of a soldier and also in his beloved ones. The novel has been consistently popular among Hindi readers of all ages and it has been pitched for screen adaptation in the Mumbai International Film Festival 2023. Inclusiveness is the cornerstone of his writings.
As a professional in the World of Work, he has delivered lectures on Decent Work, Child Labour, Inspections and Social Protections at institutes like TISS, VVGNLI etc.
